| Litchgate Research Group, investigates reports of anomalous phenomena, including perceived ghosts, hauntings and other paranormal activity. We rely on objective observation, critical thinking, and common sense in our approach to investigation, and adhere to scientific methods of inquiry to collect and analyze data related to reported experiences. We are open-minded in our approach, and research possible sources of the phenomena to determine whether the causes are natural or supernatural. LRG's principal investigators work professionally in full-time investigative and scientific occupations, and other team members include specialists in the physical sciences, videography, historical research, and other fields which provide the knowledge and skills needed to gather and evaluate evidence of reported phenomena. Our investigators maintain memberships in several national and international organizations, such as the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry (CSI), whose mission is to promote scientific inquiry, critical investigation, and the use of reason in examining controversial and extraordinary claims, and the Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena (ASSAP), which is a scientifically-oriented educational and research society dedicated to investigation of a broad range of anomalous phenomena. | |
