Specialties | |
PTPI provides a comprehensive approach to paranormal investigations. Using historical research, thorough witness interviews, the latest sensor and photographic technology, a diverse background of metaphysical knowledge, and investigative patience, our investigators seek to understand the nature of the reported paranormal activity, as well as the causes. Our mission is to gather evidence, whether that evidence points to a natural or paranormal cause, because our only purpose is to find the truth.
Our services are always free-of-charge.
Our investigators take a professional approach, seeking first to exclude all natural causes for reported activity before making a paranormaldetermination. Prior to starting any investigation requested by a private party,we confer with the home or business owner, letting him/her know exactlywhat to expect during the investigation. We discuss the level of confidentiality that the home or business owner expects, and then we put those expectations in writing. We understand that our clients often have nowhere else to turn, and our primary mission, above all other goals, is to assist them. |

We are a team of paranormal investigators whose primary goal is to document, and hopefully someday scientifically prove the existence of ghosts. We also strive to educate the public, and help those who live with hauntings deal with their fears and experiences.
We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in North Carolina that is dedicated to the research and investigation of haunting and ghost phenomena, the collection of data related to these events and sharing of information. Since 1992, we have worked to observe, record and study ghosts and hauntings looking for all possibilities in an accepted scientifically oriented method. We are looking for the preponderance of evidence. Because these events happen "in the field" rather than in a laboratory or other controlled location, we feel it is even more important to use great care and sound methods. We continue to develop theories, test and re-test them, and collect data in an objective manner.
Although we do not discredit the use of psychics, we instead use both simple and high-tech electronic equipment to document and substantiate our experiences. We do not use Ouija boards, s?ances, or divining rods to conjure or locate spirits. We investigate both public places and private residences, and although we are based outside of Lexington,North Carolina, we enjoy traveling to investigate haunted sites around the country. We are a serious group of professionally-minded adults who believe that skepticism is healthy, and that all reasonable explanations should be ruled out prior to declaring an experience to be paranormal in nature.
Our team consists of individuals based in and around Davidson County, and the Piedmont-Triad area of North Carolina. We investigate reports of paranormal activity all over the Southeastern United States, but primarily in North Carolina and surrounding areas. We are very interested in helping others who feel they are experiencing supernatural or paranormal activity (there is no charge for our services). It is our goal to either validate or dispel claims of paranormal activity. We are willing and able to assist and will do so in any way we can. However, we do work real jobs and have no outside funding. Our investigations and team workings need to revolve around our schedule. |
